Question of the Week:  Luke 9:28b-36 In today’s Gospel Jesus appears in His glory to Peter, John and James.  How are you allowing Jesus to appear in His glory to your friends, family members and coworkers through your choices of personal interests and the decisions you make in how to live your life?

Question for Children: How do you share the love of Jesus at school, at home and at play?

Dear Parents,    Blessed Katherine Drexel March 3, 2010

Thank you for attending the PTO Meeting last night.  It is nice to see so many parents involved.

We are very pleased to inform you that the After School Program Room in the new building has been named The Mother Cabrini Room.  As you know Mother Cabrini walked the streets of Burbank, and had a special love for all children.  We of course are fortunate to have our own Cabrini Sister on staff in Sister Regina.  Through the intercession of Mother Cabrini, may this room be a place of comfort, love, and learning for our students for many years to come.

Thursday is Spirit and Pride Day, and we will be awarding the Student of the Month at the morning assembly on Thursday.  The award highlights our Schoolwide Learning Expectation called Nurture Your Beliefs.

Dr. Seuss Day is Friday.  This is a wonderful presentation for Early Fives through Fourth Grade.

We have so much enthusiasm for our track team that we are in need of parent supervisors to help us with practice.  We need help every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:00pm to 4:30pm.  This is a great way to get service hours and be a part of our great track team.  If you are interested, please call the office or email me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. We are very proud of Lauren Cruz and Ruby Garcia who are attending the Junior National Young Leaders Conference this week in Washington, DC.  Congratulations also to the Boys B Basketball Team for coming in 3rd Place in the basketball tournament this weekend.

The end of the Second Trimester is on March 12.  Please followup with your children to make sure they are completing all their assignments on time, and that they are studying every night.  Too often, students feel that if something is not due the following day in writing, that they “have no homework.”  All quizzes and Tests are scheduled well in advance so they should be reviewing their notes daily.

With God’s Blessings,

Michael Marasco
